about :
slakbootEBS is a software development kit for the automated creation of
bootable embedded systems based on Slackware and Busybox. The focus is on
i486 and ARM systems that use compact flash devices (handhelds and PC104
type boards). The distribution consists of a primary archive with tools,
scripts, and documentation, and additional archives for the i486 and
PXA250 binary components.
Changes:
This release supports both VGA and serial console devices and can be used
on Soekris and pc104 platforms. Additions include improved autologin
support, an SVGA mode browser, Web, FTP, and MySQL servers, and an option
to make persistent debug logs. SDK can now prepare a filesystem on a
remote mounted compact flash. makeCF and burnit, SDK's auto
generate/configure tools, were upgraded. 2.4/2.6 kernels and easy-to-use
sample burn scripts were included. A large modular download is available
with up to 9 archives, 1 base archive plus 4 each for i486 and pxa250
architectures. Minimally, the base archive plus i486a1 and i486a2 are
required.
